Ensuring accessibility for all
The BITV 2.0 ensures that the information and communication technologies of public bodies in Germany are accessible to people with disabilities. It is based on international standards and aims to promote digital inclusion in accordance with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The BITV obliges public institutions to make their websites and mobile applications accessible in order to provide all citizens with access to digital information and services.
